Since August 2025 the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED 2014/53/EU) is in force. Therefore, all electronic products with the ability to communicate via radio and having an IP stack, need to fulfil a new standard for cyber security. As a result the password for the BITZER IQ Products will change from the 4 digit password to a new 8..14-digitb individual password.
All IQ MODULES are default programmed by a 14-digit password EXW factory (see figure 1) since mid of August 2025.
The individual default password can be found on a sticker as shown below on the IQ MODULE.

A password change to an individual password, is possible with BEST SOFTWARE as before (via Bluetooth or BITZER BEST converter).
Please consider the required characteristics (see figure 3)

– Step 2: Select device password
– Step 3: Enter default password (see sticker on module), define new password, confirm new password
