Bitzer proudly introduces the updated CS PRO – CSHP.5 series of compressors, specifically designed for use with the natural refrigerant R-290 (propane). The new generation delivers enhanced efficiency, an extended operating envelope, and a stronger commitment to environmental sustainability — meeting the growing demand for natural refrigerants with low global warming potential.
The updated portfolio includes two motor configurations: CSHP.5 with Motor 2 (M2Z) for HVAC and process cooling applications, and CSHP.5 with Motor 1 (M1Z) for both cooling and process heating. The new models operate at condensing temperatures up to 70 °C, expanding the application range and offering greater flexibility across diverse industrial environments.
The compressors now use the B-PAG220 lubricant (Oil Code Z), ensuring optimal lubrication and reliability when operating with hydrocarbon refrigerants. Previous versions with Oil P (SHC230) remain available for replacement purposes only, while the new models represent the standard for all future installations.
Additionally, the CS PRO series now features enhanced compressor protection devices (SE-E4) with optional upgrades such as SE-E5 for external VSD operation and SE-i1 FSK full sensor kits for electronic soft starters. All models are fully CE and UK certified, and orders are available immediately.
